Nominations Committee
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I write to you as the elected chairperson of the Nominations Committee for the CWM 2020 Assembly elections. The Committee represents all six regions of CWM, and has been appointed to provide leadership in the election process and to preside over the election proceedings. The Nominations Committee is critical to the election process in assisting delegates to discern and determine the persons who will serve the organisation as Directors and Trustees for the next four years.
This year’s election process sees its own challenges due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic that we are all facing. The elections will now be held electronically. This process will be supported by the General Secretary, the Executive Secretary and other CWM staff, as deemed necessary, in order to ensure efficiency of the electronic process.
On behalf of the Nominations Committee I would like to assure all members of the Assembly that although the process needs to be done differently this year, this will not change the involvement of the Nominations Committee in the election proceedings. The Nominations Committee is, and will be, fully engaged in all the proceeding at all times.
The Committee has already started the work of preparing for this process and has met face to face through an online platform. The members are committed to remain connected through email correspondence. This contact will continue throughout the process. The Nominations Committee pray that the process will run smoothly to enable all delegates to vote confidently and confidentially during these changing times. We ask for your prayers as we gather from all regions to undertake this work, and seek God’s guidance in the election process.
Pob bendith.
Blessings.
